The Island of Beqa
THE island of Beqa (pronounced Beng-ga) is located off the southern coastline of Fiji's main island. It is a remote and pristine location, non commercialised, and offers a number of boutique resorts ideal for honeymoon, island wedding, general beach getaway, budget beach accommodation or adventure vacation. It is encircled by the famous Beqa Lagoon, renowned for its excellent scuba diving sites. These include coral diving, wreck diving and even shark-feed diving - one of the popular scuba trips in this region. Near to Beqa or smaller islands such as Yanuca (which has a surfing resort) and the luxury island of Royal Davui that offers 5-star accommodation for couples seeking the ultimate romantic Fiji getaway. Access is often by boat from Pacific Harbour, with which Beqa is closely associated.
